In 2013, BIIF acquired stakes in London Array OFTO, an infrastructure for the transmission of power from the London Array offshore wind farm to onshore electricity grids. The wind farm is located in the outer Thames estuary, 20km from the Kent and Essex coasts and consist of 175 x  3.6 MW wind turbines with a total capacity of 630MW.

The wind farm  is linked to an onshore substation at Cleve Hill by 54km of submarine cables via two offshore substations.
